April 13th – The Canadian Sarcoidosis Organizations Annual “Sarc Walk” is taking place at Calgary’s Fish Creek Park. Join the walkathon for a scenic walk at the Burnsmead entrance off Bow Bottom Trail SE – MAP. Walkathon starts at 11:00 am.

April 20th – We are also excited to also have the Reconciliation Bridge turning Purple again this year to honor Sarcoidosis Awareness Month ! Thank you to the East Village – Reconciliation Bridge Program !

The 2024 Annual Memorial “Give Sarcoidosis the Birdie” Golf Tournament location, date, and time has been confirmed !!!

The 2024 Annual Memorial “Give Sarcoidosis the Birdie” Golf Tournament is happily returning to the Carstairs Community Golf Club on August 23rd, 2024. The shotgun start will get rolling at 1:00 pm.

The 2023 Annual Memorial Golf Tournament was a huge Success !

The tournament was held on Friday, August 25th, 2023 at the Rivers Edge Golf Club in Okotoks, Alberta.

Many thanks to all our wonderful Sponsors and Volunteers!

We had gorgeous weather, great golf, prizes and a silent auction.  Great fun was had by all!  

We also had a Special Guest Speaker Dr. Daniel Vis (Respirologist & Clinical Lecturer Department of Medicine Lead Physician, Pulmonary Sarcoidosis Clinic SHC) who gave a presentation on the latest developments with Sarcoidosis and a database build project that is being implemented. Thank you for the excellent presentation! 

University of Calgary – SARC Research Tour

Friday February 10th 2023 – The CSO Board enjoyed the afternoon at the University of Calgary – Cumming School of Medicine where Dr. Daniel Vis (Respirologist & Clinical Lecturer Department of Medicine Lead Physician, Pulmonary Sarcoidosis Clinic SHC) gave us a great presentation on the current state of knowledge about Sarcoidosis. We also discussed how the donations being raised could be used with a brainstorm session about various ways to help bring awareness to more people and help the research team expand and collaborate with others across Alberta and the nation. Thank you Dr. Vis and Andrea for the wonderful afternoon and your exceptional work!
